Assassination. Gunpowder treason and plot. Murder most foul. They shot the Once and Future President a year ago. An assassin climbed up onto a roof with clear sightlines to the podium, he line up the shot, he fired, and he hit his target. The only reason President Trump is alive is because he turned his head at the last instant and the bullet hit his ear instead of blowing through his head on live television. The assassin fired several bullets though, and others were also shot. A firefighter died on the scene. Others went to the nearest hospital where they were eventually saved. President Trump stood back up in front of an American flag, raised his fist into the air, and shouted \u201cFight Fight Fight!\u201d before moving off the stage and into the protection of The Beast.<\/p>\n

What was the response? The picture of that moment raced across the Internet like wildfire. People around the world made art commemorating Trump\u2019s survival and his fist in the air. The Right rejoiced that Trump survived, and said the Left needed to stop calling on him to be killed. The Left rejoiced that someone had finally shot their great enemy. The Left bemoaned the fact that they didn\u2019t kill him. The Left rejoiced that at least one evil Maggot died as he deserved. The government quickly hosed off the roof where the assassin was shot. And then the picture of Trump standing up with his fist in the air started disappearing from the Internet. The Left started saying there was no proof that Trump was even shot. And the Main Stream Media began to memory hole the whole thing. Nothing could be allowed to make their great enemy look good after all.<\/p>\n

What do we know now? Not much. A year later, there is still very little we know. But we do know that the government knew about threats to Trump and didn\u2019t tell anybody. We know Trump\u2019s team was asking for more security and were denied it. We know the First Lady was doing some event nearby and sucked off most of the local Secret Service. We know the local team at Butler was new. First time girl in charge. The techie couldn\u2019t make his drone work. There weren\u2019t enough shooters to cover every angle. They didn\u2019t secure the likely shooting points. They didn\u2019t even set up communications with local law enforcement. The assassin walked in and out and did recon and flew his own drone around. People in the crowd pointed the assassin out to law enforcement, but they still let Trump stand out there and get shot. The absolute best case scenario is that it was a case of idiots being stupid and not knowing what they were doing.<\/p>\n

But was it worse? Why did the Biden administration not give Trump the protection he asked for? Why did nobody secure the rooftop that had a clear sightline to the podium? Why did they hose down the roof afterwards? Who was the random guy who walked around getting evidence and then disappeared? Why did at least one phone linked to the assassin\u2019s household travel to a park next to a Federal Building where Federal Agents are known to meet their informants? Was the government so inept that they couldn\u2019t protect the Once and Future President? Did the government purposefully leave an opening for some rogue actor to come in and shoot him? Did the government aim the assassin and send him off to do it?<\/p>\n

There are so many questions we have about this assassination and we still have them one year later. Will we ever know what happened? I don\u2019t know. But we must never forget this. They shot the Once and Future President. They killed a firefighter. They shot other people. It was a successful assassination attempt. Everything worked except one thing. Trump turned his head. Without that, who would be President right now? Never forget. Never stop fighting.<\/p>\n
