The last two bits of the Battle of Cypress Swamp have fallen into place. Literally based on the real life history of the 93rd Highlanders and what happened in their part of the battle.<\/p>\n
I’m incorporating it into my story, which makes the whole story better. I love it when I can use real life history to make a fictional story stronger. And this just clicked the last two things into place that really make the story shine in my humble opinion.<\/p>\n
I still have to do some good edits for it, but I think I’ve finally got it all dialed in and I’m really happy with it.<\/p>\n
Now to get it done in the next two days. Friday I’m going into for a procedure that will literally knock me right out, so I have two days. I can do it. The story is done. Now I just have to clean it up for submission and I’ll be there. Yes, I’m in that part of the story writing where I’m starting to move around periods and commas and trying to make the sentence structure strengthen the action.<\/p>\n
