I grew up on Cold Cereal and Milk like a lot of American kids. Part of the starting meal of the day to get us up and out to school. I’ve drifted away from it over the years for a number of reasons. One being that I don’t stock milk much anymore. It spoils faster than I drink it. But I keep cold cereal on hand because I like it for small snacks. Honey Nut Cheerios and Golden Grahams generally. Sometimes get something different, but I have settled on those as standard. My job has a small general store, and sometimes the groceries hit end of best sell by date life and the employees get to take the stuff home. A lot of bread products. Sometimes other things. Last time it was milk. So today I had cold cereal with milk for the first time in a while. Just a simple breakfast that reminded me of times long gone.
