Then he got a pardon from whoever was giving them out during the Biden administration.<\/p>\n
And then he pleaded the fifth when asked about the stuff he got the pardon for.<\/p>\n
Thing is, once you’ve been pardoned for something, you can’t plead the fifth anymore, because you’re pardoned and so can’t incriminate yourself. Once you’ve got a pardon, you can be required to testify about what you were pardoned for.<\/p>\n
So an argument could be made that whatever he pleaded the fifth over isn’t covered by the pardon, that in pleading the fifth he confirmed that, and now he can be sued over it.<\/p>\n
Sure would be interesting to see someone take that theory to court.<\/p>\n
Based on the publishing of his work notes though, we do know one thing.<\/p>\n
He told us to do things that he knew wouldn’t work based on his notes. He told us to take injections that he knew were not safe and were not fully tested. And he told us it wasn’t a lab leak when he knew it probably was. And people who followed his advice died.<\/p>\n
