And unlike many Indian Nations the lands are those that the Navajo have lived on for centuries. Their histories say they came from the coastal lands of California long ago, but even they don\u2019t know where they came from before that. Maybe boats from Asia. Or that frozen bridge that people talk about between Alaska and Russia. Wherever they came from, they seem happy to live in Dinetah now, the place they believe God created the world from. Or something like that. They don\u2019t think in American, so sometimes things get lost in translation.
