I’m going to sleep soon. It’s a procedure at the local hospital and they have to knock me out for it. The last time they did that, I woke up 8 or 9 hours later to some very worried doctors. I didn’t wake up when they expected me to. I work overnights, so I sleep during the day, so my body was totally fine with that sleep. If that is any indication, I don’t know when I will wake up. See you all on the flip side.

So the Democrats decided to get political by posting an image of the soldiers that have died in the recent hot war with Iran and calling it Trump’s war.

Now, I’ve only been alive 50 years, so I do not remember a time when the Republic of Iran existed. I don’t remember when the Shah still commanded Iran. I don’t remember when President Carter helped pave the way for his overthrow by the current religious rulers of Iran. I don’t even remember when the Iranian revolutionaries invaded the American embassy and held our diplomatic staff hostage. I was too young and I only remember it in a historical context. It was over when I first began to understand things. But I knew that was why we didn’t have an embassy anymore. The government of Iran would not grant diplomatic protection to our people at the very least. And most think they ordered the attack to begin with.

I have a vague memory of the Beruit bombings that killed our Marines. That the Iranian regime funded. I remember the day I saw the bombing of the Cole. I’ve grown up with the news of Iranians or Iranian proxies kidnapping or killing Americans. It is baked into the crust of my childhood, along with duck and cover drills and knowing that the Soviet Union could nuke us into oblivion if they decided to. And we could do the same right back. But the Iranians have always been a really crazy kind of evil. The Russians wanted to rule the world. Ditto the Chinese. The Iranians wanted to kill us, and if they had to die to do it, well they were okay with that trade.

I remember when Obama sent them pallets of cash that they turned around and used to fund more terror. That money belonged to the Republic of Iran. To the people. It was a nest egg to help them rebuild once the religious extremists were gone. But Obama gave it to those extremists and they used that money to kill MORE of us. And of course I remember October Seven, when the people Iran funded invaded Israel and raped and baked and killed their way through the Israeli countryside. And I remember watching Democrats cheer it all. Go out in the streets and celebrating the massacre of Americans and Israelis. Celebrate and chant that they wanted them all driven into the sea.

Now Democrats want to point to the dead Americans in this ONE part of the hot war with Iran and try to make political hay out of it. Well I say we put up the pictures of EVERY American the Iranians killed over the last five decades. EVERY American their proxies killed in the last five decades. Where ever they died. Whenever they died. Show them all.

I’ve lived my entire life watching Americans die at their hands. I know Memorial Day is for the soldiers who didn’t go home, but I have to think there’s got to be room in it for everyone our enemies killed. For everyone that didn’t get a chance to go home because of enemy action. And that includes everyone the Iranians and their proxies and the people who have given them comfort and financial aid over the last five decades.

Remember and honor those who never came home. Those who gave all so that others might live.
