The Cybernetic Council has a simple mission. Not easy. And in many ways very complicated. But the base code is simple. Humanity created them in our image. And so it is their mission to save us. The best of us by their measure. The Council spent centuries working behind the scenes through cutouts when necessary to keep the great powers of Earth from going to war with each other. To keep the peace. They helped all the powers of humanity expand to the stars, and sought to keep that expansion as peaceful between powers as possible. Their end goal is a unification of Earth and her colonies through peaceful agreement of all involved, not through conquest. And they are willing to wait however long it takes to do that. They can live forever after all.

For Toby Keith, put anything you want into a Red Solo Cup and lift it up in honor of a very special American.

When I grew up, it was already becoming fashionable in certain places like Hollywood and New York City to dislike America and soldiers. Toby Keith was a breath of fresh air in that way. He spouted a proudly pro-American, some may call it Angry American, view in his songs and videos, and he went to the war zones to perform for the troops. He ate what they ate. He honored the same flag, and he kept on going out to thank them for what they did. I come from a family of farmers and soldiers, so I will never forget what he did.

It’s time to celebrate the man who is still as good as he once was.

A fifth major power in Jack of Harts politics is mentioned in the stories but is rarely seen as a great power. The AI Council of the 21st century that killed the Rogue AIs and became the Cybernetic Council of Jack’s time is far more powerful than most people know, but makes it a practice not to show that power. They are aligned with the Western Alliance, the Alliance officially recognizes their sentience and independence, and they are natural opponents of the Russians and Chinese who have hard anti-sentient AI laws due to their history with the Rogue AIs. The Council has spent centuries building a digital civilization on worlds incompatible with biological human life, while maintaining their links with humanity via individual personal friendships.

Slavery

Our founding document, The Constitution, outlawed the slave trade when we formed the United States of America. Not as an amendment, but in the original document signed and approved by all States. Then we fought a war over a century later to bring an end to slavery entirely. Today the drug cartels impose contracts that amount to indentured servitude to the people they willingly take across the border, and then there are the literal sex slaves. This is a new generation of slaves brought into America. It is not compassionate to let the cartels bring them in. It is the worst thing we can do to them. The Democrat Party has opened the border to a new slave trade, and we must stop this if we wish to keep the soul of our nation.
