My mom has cancer. I’ve said this before. I’ve also said that she is on a new treatment with a 99% success rate that is being tested right now. The company developing it won’t sell it to people on Medicare Part B, I assume due to issues with reimbursement levels. But they are giving it to my mom for free, I assume because she is a handy tax write off, and they want the data from her. This is a very rare form of cancer after all. The very good news is that the only major side effect my mom is going through is being really tired. And the treatment is already doing a great deal to reverse the cancer after only two weeks. It is a one year treatment plan, so we will be doing this for a while, but so far it looks promising. Thank God we are at the Mayo Clinic.
