Jack of Harts

The Second Continental Congress did many things during the Revolution.  They declared Independence from the King of England, they formed the Continental Army that would beat the English, and they adopted an official flag for the new nation they were fighting for.  Thirteen stars and thirteen stripes, red white and blue, the flag was designed to proclaim liberty and freedom for all.  That is why we celebrate Flag Day.
