Jack of Harts

My Jack of Harts stories are a bright future, built on what I considered to be a dark future some decades off. The Speaker of the House led an Impeachment of the President during an election year and then used the law enforcement organizations to investigate his allies. Those investigations of course expanded to include the former President and culminated with charging him with treason and ordering his arrest. Which the State he was living in did not cooperate with. That led to a general collapse of America that rolled into the Second Great Depression that brought the world economy to a general collapse. Once again, this was supposed to happen some decades from now. I do not like seeing so many parallels to that dark future right now.
