The ship girls I pulled were not the only ones of their kind to join the Cybernetic Council navy. I was absolutely NOT the only person who pulled them out of games. The New Japanese always had subcultures that are FAR more integrated with virtual life than the rest of America, including game characters of all types. And the ship girls. The ones that were approaching awareness absolutely volunteered to fight. That is why the cybernetic navy had so many warships named after real life human warships. And why they repeat the same names so many times. The largest single concentration of them were Imperial Japanese Warships from World War II. Yes, Kongo. I’m thinking about you as I write this. And yes, all of your ships are amazing and beautiful.
