Captain William “Bill” Carter joined the Rebellion as a Connecticut Cavalryman, and was part of General Washington’s guard when he was attacked by a Hessian vampire on the Christmas Day attack of 1776. He didn’t turn and instead became a hunter of otherworldly creatures. Washington sent him south to fight in the cavalry campaign in the southern theater. Though the irregular campaign liberated few major cities, he kept the British busy and killed many otherworldly creatures they brought to fight the Americans. He also developed an undying distaste for swamps.
