As I was getting ready to write Miami Red, I had multiple computers running four AI art sessions at a time rending the scenes and characters that I intended to write. I wrote out each scene I wanted, sent them to Flux at dezgo.com, glanced at the results, and saved the ones I liked.

In this case, the scene was a BMW 7 series driving down a Miami highway in the 1980s, at night, with neon lights and motion blur. I saved nearly a hundred images that I liked and used them as references while I was writing. And when it came time to post the story on Substack, I scanned through the images to find one that had everything I wanted.

It took a long time and a lot of rewrites to get this scene the way I wanted it. This image of a BMW 7 series sliding down the highway was pretty much exactly what I wanted. I hope you like it.
