Jack of Harts

I just received a final look at Sand and Storm before it goes out for publication. Found three small tweaks that I hope will make it into the final publication. Holdovers of removing one entire character from the story to make it tighter. Proof that you can only really show off so many characters in a short story before they start to hamper the short story. Every word must be tight and used, and anything that detracts must go, no matter how much you love it. The story is the thing.

What all this means is that Sand and Storm is one step closer to getting into your hands. And then House of Sand will be in the wild. I love watching a new baby story go out like that.
