Choose your own adventures have this thing where you can choose to redo what you did for a different result. It is the basic idea of the whole genre.

I am reading some modern AI powered versions of the same style and I have to say I am impressed. I didn’t want to read the horror story that appeared to be developing, so I went back to the point where the whole story went off the rails and did one thing different.

This time the story didn’t take on the crazy horror aspects, but it still went action adventure spy style, and I’m totally into a bit of young Jason Bourne. It is so much more interesting reading and interacting with a story like this rather than just watching it on the TV, and I’m there for that.
