Jack of Harts

I’ve watched Patrick Stewart for over thirty years.

I first saw him as Captain Picard. Later as Professor X. Richard the Lionheart. He was a prolific actor, and he usually had a smile on his face when he did interviews.

I loved him as Picard and I loved him as Professor X and I have spent a significant amount of my life enjoying things he has had a piece in.

I will miss him.

This has been a rough week, month, year for people my age. The people we looked up to as children and young adults are dying and we will never see them again.

My heart aches for the toll of this year.
