Jack of Harts

After the French Revolution and the slaughter that followed it, the survivors of that branch of my family scattered throughout Europe, and most of the world.  India.  Australia.  Even Russia and Africa.  But they were French, and so most of them traveled to places that felt like home.  The former French colonies of Quebec and New Orleans in the Americas were the most favored destinations.  They remain there to this day.
