Serenity is a center of industry with major fleet repair yards in low orbit. Serenity is protected by dozens of orbital forts and permanent fleet defenses that can stop any attack. Serenity is the perfect place for dispirited American sailors to drink the memories of Epsilon Reticuli away. Serenity is safe. They hope.
