I came back from Dairycon just in time to celebrate National Taxation is Theft Day with my fellow 300 million American citizens. I do hope you all paid your taxes. The government will throw you in prison if you don’t, and Biden has imported 10 million new illegal aliens depending on you to pay for their room and board. And the government frowns on us trying to claim their dependents as our dependents, so no joy on that front. Just pay your taxes loyal citizens, the government will probably not put you in jail if you do, and lets all remember what we pay our taxes to support. Rah rah America, and all that jazz.
I’m home from Dairycon. Another enjoyable three days spent in Wisconsin, but I’m happy to be home too. I sold enough toys to pay for my room and the toys I bought there. The things I take to sell are stuff I’ve owned for a decade or two and are still mint in box, so I cater to those who are filling holes in collections. And when I buy things, it’s those cool little odd things that are NOT mint in box, so I generally come home with MORE but less expensive toys than I go with. The fun part is that I took cash out of the bank on Thursday to give me spending money at the con. I just put more money back in the bank to pay for my room charges. Yes, I’m using my toy collection to pay for my toy convention trips. Life is good. 🙂
Dairycon is over. I sold a couple toys. I spent time with friends. I setup my Xbox 360s for kids to watch Transformers shows and play games on. I brought some RC cars painted up like Transformers for kids of all ages to play with. And I gave adults the peace of mind to walk around looking at toys while the kids were engrossed. It was a good day and I’m happy to be going home. Good weekend. Good friends. Good times. I enjoyed it.
Today is Dairycon. Scores of Transformers (the toy not the electrical thing) fans get together in one location for an old school convention where people show up in one place, meet each other, and get along as we buy and sell Transformers. It is a fun time. I bring some toys to sell, and a couple Xbox 360s to play Transformers movies and games on. Add in some RC vehicles that are Transformers themed and we all have a lot of fun while the adults are checking out toys. I love getting together with like-minded geeks.
I watched the Fallout series tonight. I loved it. It plays with the original ideas and feelings of the original games, and it does it gosh darn straight. The main vault dweller plays the role perfect, and my main man from Burn Notice chews the scenery up in his old way as one of the best characters in the series. I loved it all the way through to episode 8. Its just a gosh darn good time.
