I read the recent Atlantic article calling for Pandemic Amnesty, for all of us “to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about Covid.” The problem with that call is that there are those who knowingly lied to us and violated the laws. They were not in the dark. They violated the Nuremberg Code, designed to stop us from repeating literal Nazi practices. Some sent the sick to nursing homes to kill the elderly in job lots. Others demanded we stop giving medical treatments that worked. They shut down hospitals, businesses, schools, parks, and beaches. They demanded we take experimental injections and banned us from our livelihoods if we did not. Justice must stand, or amnesty will merely be permission to do all of it again.
Social Media is an amazing and terrible thing. It makes it easy for us to communicate with friends and family, and also to silence us if we say things our Great Socialist Overlords disagree with. Despite this, I have a number of social media accounts that I use at the moment. Facebook, MeWe, Parler, and I recently opened a Gettr account. I also have a pair of substacks I push stuff to. I even have a couple Twitter accounts that I haven’t logged into since I broke my ribs back in 2016. It is interesting to check in on them after all this time. You may find the links to my social media below.

I emptied another shelf at my house, and cleared another down to the point where it is a couple items from being able to break down as well. I also filled another box with some assorted Transformers that managed to evade my earlier packing routines. I have now emptied one of the long walls in my basement entirely, and moved everything I didn’t throw away into my mom’s basement. Other walls have been noticeably denuded as well, but I still have a lot to do. I need to get more progress on clearing my mom’s bedroom before I can really hit the next step of the move, though. There is nothing fast about moving a life’s worth of stuff into a house already filled by another person’s life.
Halloween has come, and today the good little boys and girls will go out looking for candy. And here is Jasmine, haunting around and reminding everyone to give the kids what they deserve. It is Halloween after all. Everyone should get what they deserve. Right?
Halloween is almost here, and Jasmine is swinging into action to deal with any bad old witches threatening to steal candy from all the good boys and girls out there. Trust me. Don’t mess with her. She will make you rue the day…
