Epstein Files

by Medron Pryde on November 19, 2025 at 12:01 am
Posted In: Diaries

It looks like the Epstein Files are coming out after all.

And we are going to see some very interesting names hitting the news soon.

I would put forward one note of caution. There will be some guilty of the worst sins in those files. And there will be some NOT guilty of the worst sins in those files.

Epstein was a millionaire with millionaire houses, millionaire planes, a millionaire island, and millionaire parties, and many who spent time with him were millionaires themselves simply moving through the high society circuit. Some will certainly be guilty of doing bad things to women that Epstein provided. Some may even be guilty of doing bad things to girls that Epstein provided. Others merely attended a party.

Be careful of what you read going forward. Be careful of what you believe. There are many agendas at work here. And they all will want you to believe them over every other agenda.

Jobs

by Medron Pryde on November 18, 2025 at 12:01 am

This weekend I found out that two people I know in real life, friends who are way better tech geeks than I am, had their entire departments laid off recently. And they’ve been looking for jobs and seeing salary offers that are literally laughable.

This is the kind of thing that Trump has six months to fix. Jobs. The techbros want their cheep Indian (Indian Indian not American Indian) labor to do their jobs and they don’t want to pay Americans American money. And the techbros have a lot of money and a lot of clout. But Americans want jobs. Americans demand jobs.

And if Trump doesn’t get the jobs market moving forward in the next six months, he’s going to lose the American middle in the next election. He’s going to lose it by a lot.

He doesn’t have to worry about people like me. We know the Democrat leaders are Communist animals who want to burn down America. We saw what they did the last four years and we’re never going to vote Democrat. But the American middle is what tips elections back and forth. And their vote tips on the economy. It’s the economy stupid. Trump has to show solid progress towards getting the job market working again in the next six months, or there are going to be a lot of swing districts and States that see more Democrats in Congress.

And we all know what the Democrat’s first bill will be. They’ve done it twice already. And they’ve promised to do it again the first chance they get. I stars with Imp and ends with each.

Jobs. Six months. It’s one of the pillars Trump needs.

And it’s a pillar the Democrat leaders will go to great lengths to make certain never sees a successful recovery with. Because they are smart too. They know if he has a successful jobs market that it will make it harder for them to win. So they will do whatever it takes to sabotage him. Just like they did with the shutdown. They know what they’re doing. They’re evil Communists who want to burn down America and are doing a dang good job doing it. And they very well may be better at burning down America than Trump is at rebuilding America. And if they are, we will probably all lose out on that transaction.

Deep Cleaning

by Medron Pryde on November 17, 2025 at 12:01 am
Posted In: Diaries

Mom died three years ago, and I continue to do deep cleaning in her house, as I live in it.

I had family coming over recently, and so I deep cleaned the guest bed and surrounding area. Reorganized and built a new set of shelves in an under-utilized part of the basement to hold things in a more organized fashion. And threw away and donated more things that I don’t need. Life goes on and all of that.

There’s always more to do. Never an end to the things that need doing. Always another part of the house to clear, and never enough time to do all of it. What I’ve gotten clean and organized, I work to keep clean and organized, and every few months I look at things I chose to organize and see if I’ve really used it or not. Things that I haven’t used get either moved further back into long term storage are get moved into the donate pile. And I pack up the donate pile every so often and take it in to a place to donate it.

Friends that haven’t been in my house for a while always see there is less stuff than last time.

I finally tackled the last shelf in Mom’s fridge this week. Yes. I know. Three years is a long time. It was the shelf even I used least of all, and I’ve deep cleaned and reorganized everything else long ago. That last shelf was too low to use often, and I’ve been largely ignoring it. So I finally tackled it. It was a sticky mess. And there were things in it that I can only guess at. Weird Al’s “It’s Living in the Fridge” comes to mind. I swear that’s a documentary in some places. Not here. Not quite. But I was pretty religious about first scrubbing the fridge, and then scrubbing the food containers that really didn’t have food anymore, and then scrubbing myself. And the sponge is going in the trash once it dries out, because I don’t think I can clean all that stuff out of it.

It feels good to deep clean. Even if all I when I’m done I see all the places I need to clean next. But I can see what I’ve done and that is good. I’ve thrown away or donated entire rooms of stuff. And I continue to do it on a small scale every week. I ask myself “keep, trash, or donate?” every week, and I can see the house getting cleaner. More organized. More places for Molly Maid to vacuum when they show up. It’s good to see a house improve over time.

Sometimes I wish I was quicker about it. But there is life to live. But every time I wish I was quicker, it’s usually a hint that it’s time to do a bit more. That was this week, in between finishing stories for publication. And in between work that keeps the lights on and furnace running. And the AC in summer. The little conveniences in life that make life comfortable. And deep cleaning makes all of that better.

Stories

by Medron Pryde on November 16, 2025 at 12:01 am

The last month has been a busy month for me.

Two of my stories have been published by two different presses.
Wyld Magick from Three Ravens has my short story Trickster in it.
Stone and Sky from Opal Kingdom Press has my short story The Veiled Guardians in it.
Search for each of those on Amazon and you can find them.
That is amazingly cool. It is always good to see your name in lights, as the case goes, and even better when your name is on the cover. That’s just the cherry on top. I’ve been in Team And More a great many times over the years now, and Team And More usually gets paid just as much as the names on the cover, but it is nice to see your name on the cover.

I’ve also submitted five stories to five completely different publishers to those two noted above.
One will be published soon, and one was rejected.
That means I’m waiting on responses to three stories, but you will see one published soon, so that is awesome as well.

Finally, my next month is going to be interesting.
I have five anthology submissions on my docket that I would like to do over the next four weeks, to four different publishers.
One is going to get an already completed story, so that leaves me at looking to write four stories.
Two of them I’ve already done a great deal of research into, and in one case I’ve already written a fair bit of it. So those two I think I have dialed in.
The other two are the question marks for me. I have a major convention planned in two weeks, which is going to eat up one weekend. That means there is every chance that one or two of those stories I have on my docket are going to slip off the docket.
Such is life. I would like to do them. I might be able to. I will find out.

But my hard plan is to submit between three and five stories over the next month.

I’m keeping myself busy, I’m getting published, and I’m getting paid.

All three of those things are pretty awesome.

Bourbon and Lead

The dames were trouble. I knew that the moment I saw them. But they knew exactly the siren song that would get me to follow.

“Dime Detective Stories,” one of them said.

“And you can pitch it to the scribblers any way you want,” the other purred.

Yeah. I was doomed from the start.
