This week a man with no criminal record is facing prison time in New York State. Dexter Taylor is a gun hobbyist who bought gun parts via a credit card and assembled them in his property. He did not sell them. This is federally regulated and legal. The government traced his transactions, raided his home, and accused and eventually convicted him of criminal possession of firearms, firearm parts, and firearm ammunition. The judge would not allow his lawyers to bring up federal law saying it was legal or the Constitutional 2nd Amendment in their defense. He was convicted and is now being sent to Rikers Island and is facing 18 years in prison in New York State. While elsewhere a court ruled that an illegal alien DID have a right to own a firearm. I wonder why…
