Unburdened By What Has Been
America’s voting public has chosen to be unburdened by what has been. To take out the trash. To send Mumbles and Giggles back for a refund.
The Democrats have accused Trump of Russian Collusion. Called him an Illegitimate President. They Impeached him. Twice. They disbarred his lawyers. Put his advisors and supporters in prison. Closed his businesses. Took hundreds of millions of dollars from him. In three weeks we will find out if Trump gets prison time of his own. They’ve tried to assassinate him. Twice. They’ve succeeded in killing his supporters.
And through all of that, he has earned more votes in each election than he did the election before. The more the Democrats attack him and his supporters, the more people go out to the polls to vote for him. He won counties that have not voted Republican since the 1800s. He increased his support in almost every demographic.
Tens of millions of the American people voted over the last few weeks, and then somewhere around a hundred million voted on election day, and a straight up majority voted for Trump. They voted for a Republican Senate, and a Republican House, and to send everybody back to Washington to clean things up.
But it’s not over. Democrats have promised to resist at every opportunity. They will try to reverse every close election win for the House and Senate. They will try to get faithless electors to refuse to vote for Trump like they do every cycle a Republican wins. Some have promised not to certify the election by saying he is an Insurrectionist, and therefore not eligible to be President. Democrat rioters tried to burn down the White House in 2017 and 2020, so I’m betting they will try that again. They might even go for burning down entire city blocks again.
The fact is that we still have three months before Trump takes office, and then there will be four years after that before he leaves. The Democrats never surrender when they lose an election. They just go to another form of war, and I expect they will hold to these tactics this year. So keep your head on a swivel and be careful. They will try to stop Trump from doing what we elected him to do. They may even try another assassination. We don’t know. But they will try to stop him. And they are perfectly willing to lash out at people they think voted for him. So be careful out there in the coming months.
It’s not over yet.
