There are many things I have to be thankful about this year.

I give thanks that three different publishing houses have chosen to publish my stories this year.

I give thanks that I’ve been able to write more stories this year than the year before, and the year before that.

I give thanks that I’ve been able to lose 30 pounds this year through diet and exercise.

I give thanks that I have a job. That I have money coming in. That I have a roof over my head.

There are many things for me to be thankful for this weekend, and I try to remember that every day. It helps to keep me focused on the good things in life. And there are far more good things in life than bad things in life for those of us blessed to live in America.
