I just go a New Year’s opportunity I could not refuse.

I interviewed for a job in a startup company five years ago and turned it down because they were missing health care at the time.

They later hired a person who used to be my backup at my current job for that position.

Last night she called me to say that she was stepping back from working full time at this job, and wanted to be my backup again. AKA, she wanted me to take her job so she could retire down to two days a week.

I called her manager, he remembered me from five years ago, and he offered me the job again over the phone. Now with health care and a healthy raise.

He gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse.
