A little over one third of Democrats are proud of America right now according to a recent poll. Back in 2021, over three quarters of Democrats were proud.

What has changed in that time? Do you remember?

There’s long been a saying in Republican circles. I love America but I do not like our government. Our love for America and our pride at being American rarely wavers, even as the government seeks to destroy both. But Democrats are not proud of America when it isn’t trying to imprison or kill their political opponents.

That is not a good place to be in. Not for us. Not for America. It means the next time Democrats get in charge, they will send more Federal agents out to imprison or kill their political opponents. And that’s not just me saying it. That’s what THEY say. In interviews. Broadcast across the airwaves.

The Democrat leaders who say they will hunt their political opponents down like Nazis after World War II are saying that they want to kill their political opponents. Having the leaders of one of the two major parties of a Republic saying they want to kill the other major party is not good for that Republic. Or for anyone living in it.
