I don’t often write female characters as the Point of View character. Even fewer with cats. I write lots of female characters, but I take a page from one of my favorite authors. I don’t write female characters. I write characters, some of whom happen to be female. And in this case, a cat. This story was a bit of a trial run. Originally written for the Raconteur Moggie series, they did not pick it up. I’ve looked around for other homes for it, but none seemed to fit, so I finally decided a while ago that I would publish it up on my substack for you to read if you want. I then spent a long time trying and failing to get a good cover image I liked. I tried for a while on Dezgo, but never got one I was really happy with. Then not lot ago I decided to try Forge on one of my computers, and after some experimentation I finally decided to try another go at this cover. It turns out that my PromptFu has gotten better, and Forge gave me just what I wanted. So here is the first story I wrote with a cat as a protagonist.

Check it out at my substack, if you dare.
