Jack of Harts

I come from farm families on both sides, where every man is expected to have a Wedding and Funeral suit. I actually have two, one for winter and one for summer. That isn’t our Sunday best for church by the way. That is usually your best shirt and good pants. Some segments of my family do use their suits as Sunday best as well, but my branch is rather more sparing about suit usage.

My new job is a suit every day job. And three piece suits are encouraged. I’ve never owned a three piece suit. Wedding and Funeral suits are generally two piece in my part of the family. My new job got me a three piece suit for working there, and I have a good cool suit that would work as well, it is simply a two piece suit. So I went to the same men’s suit store my new work place contracts with to get a vest that looks good with it. The man working there found me a perfect vest that is a completely different shade of blue from the main suit, but matches the light blue threading perfectly.

So I just went from having one good summer suit to having two good three-piece summer suits in the period of just over a month. And I have to say that I enjoy having a suit job.
