A man was killed on a Roman cross. There were many men who died on Roman crosses, but this one was special.

The religious leaders of his day considered him a threat to their control so dire that they needed him dead.

They bent their efforts to setting a murderer free on the streets so they could send this man to his death.

Because he said things they did not like. He said that they were not right. He said that they were the problem. That filled them with so much fear that they had to silence him by killing him.

It didn’t work out as they planned in the end, but they did manage to get him killed.

They killed a man because they were afraid of his words.

His name was Jesus.
