“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Today we always celebrate that idea. Jesus laid down his life for all of us, and then he arose to go kick the gates of Hell in and come back for the afterparty before going home.

Today, specifically today, we’ve got another afterparty going on. Two airmen went down in Iran on Friday, and a whole LOT of our men went in to get them. They laid down their lives to get two others home. They kicked in the gates of Hell on Earth and fhey faced an Iranian force trying very hard to capture those men. They lost multiple airframes during the rescue. And yet everyone who went in came back out, including the two airmen who went down in the first place. That’s gotta call for an amazing afterparty.

Our people showed the greatest love. People we feared were dead, are alive, and that is very good.
