Joanna is a faery of the old school. Faery magic and gateways to other worlds are her focus. She burns faery runes into armor and weapons to make them stronger and more capable of dealing with the kind of otherworldly threats she is well acquainted with. And everywhere she goes, she is looking for the otherworldly forces that make where she is more or less dangerous. She was the first to recognize the threats in the House of Sand, and the first to draw her blade against the most powerful of them.
