Hello, my name is Betty
Persistence is the closest world to Independence’s giant star. Over six times as far away as Earth from our Sun, the immense amount of solar radiation and a very strong greenhouse effect keeps the world uncomfortably hot for most people. Lethally toxic and corrosive compounds in the atmosphere make it a challenge to live on, but it is home to a true mother lode of rich minerals. This makes it the heart of the industrial presence in the Independence star system.
