Jack of Harts

Lots of people try to say things to make us all feel better about ourselves.  Tell us we’re better than we are, freer than we are, stronger than we are.  I don’t care about all that junk.  I care about what’s right here between my hands.  I care about what I see with my own eyes.  I care about what I walk on.  Give me that, give me the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.  I will stand on that and if I have to I will make my stand on that.
