We survived the twenty-first century of course. We won the Jihad. We rebuilt from the Depression. We never did end the Cold War though. It exploded into The War of course, but The Great Peace that followed didn’t end it. The Great Firewalls still separate us now. Messages between them must be delivered in person, via spoken word or printed on paper. Foreign computers are never allowed to log into our networks anymore. We have learned the folly of giving our enemies access to our systems.
