My people knew it was going to be a hard war when we chose to become involved.  The War turned out to be a lot harder and a lot longer than we expected.  The Shang were ruthless, and they refused to admit they were wrong.  I think it has to be something in their genetics that makes them incapable of admitting that.  A lot of people died.  It wasn’t as bad as The Great War, but it was bad enough that I hope they don’t come back.
