The Convention of States returned fire by Impeaching the President, Vice President, every member of their administration, Congress, and the Supreme Court. The States immediately selected new Senators, whose first action was to elect a new President Pro Tempore of the Senate. The man they selected was a household name in America. Impeached by the previous House and Senate. The former Vice President of the United States. His new position placed him atop the line of succession to the Presidency of the United States. That is how John Jefferson Freemon was selected as the new President of the United States of America.
