I just learned that Raconteur has picked up another of my stories for publication around the end of January. My Cup Runneth Over will be in the Brim to the Dregs anthology, and basically completes a multi-short story metastory started in Goblin Market and continued in Coffee Adventures. A fourth story in this micro-series hasn’t been picked up by anybody, but will be included when I publish a collection of my short stories after the rights to publish this return to me. So just over a year from now. Along with whatever other short stories I want to add to the collection. I’m all about equal opportunities doncha know?
Merry Christmas from Joanna
Some call her an otherworldly creature. Some people are right, but that’s no reason to be rude now is it?
So she’s gonna wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas from Captain William “Bill” Carter, Texas Ranger, hunter of otherworldly creatures and threats to mankind.
Take care when you wish upon a star. Make your intentions as to who you’re talking to very clear, because not every creature that answers non-specific wishes is friendly.
According to the traditions of Christmas, it is not over and done in a single day. First there is the Advent, the days leading up to Christmas where we give small gifts and prepare for Christmas itself. Then there are twelve days of Christmas, starting on what we call Christmas day. Twelve days of giving gifts, like lords a leaping and swans and stuff like that. Twelve days. That wasn’t just a funny song. They really truly mean twelve days of Christmas. With that in mind, the cards I just put in the mail today still count as Christmas cards. I’m just using more of the days of Christmas to get them out than most people. I call that a full use of time. 😉
