Everybody wants at least one chair to sleep in. I’m lucky enough to have two. Kick my feet back and bam… Out like a light. I love a good nap in a chair to sleep in.
Malcolm McDonnell grew up in a world before Contact, when we still thought we were alone in the universe. Then the Peloran brought medicines that nearly wiped out diseases, and extended the human lifespan into the centuries. They helped us study advanced technologies, and expand our colonies hundreds of lightyears from Earth. It was a golden age for mankind, but the Peloran were not the only ones to make Contact.
Four years after the Shang attacked us, Malcolm had used his contacts inside the Hurst Family to make the Wolfenheim Project a reality. His mission was to take humanity’s message back to the stars with that most human of responses. A new colony in Alien space. No Alien power would drive us from them. We were coming. We would always be coming.
But the head of the Hurst Family discovered he was funding the Wolfenheim Project and sent a fleet to impound it. Now Malcolm McDonnell and the Class One Colonization Ship Wolfenheim fly through Alien stars on their way towards a new home with a determined foe on their heels. One that Malcolm does not remember, but who most certainly remembers him.

I’m home from the convention and I’ve had a good sleep in a good bed. I feel human again.
It is amazing how much a good sleep can do to turn your day around. For me it is several hours of good uninterrupted sleep that just lets me… rest and wake up rested. Rather than tossing and turning and finally having to find a different place to sleep because my back hurts too much.
Getting old is not fun at times. I really do recommend finding a cure for that. I think we need to talk to somebody about that. 😉
In the meantime, I’m going to happily go back to sleep in a good bed for now.
I have returned home from the convention. I spent it with three friends sharing a couple rooms. The beds were bad enough that I woke up in the middle of the night with a backache so bad I ended up moving over to the daybed and sleeping the rest of the night. I remember fondly being able to sleep on a floor when I was young. Now I can’t sleep if the bed is bad. On the plus side, I’m back home after spending an otherwise good weekend with friends, and with more friends at the destination that made the trip fun.
I now have a great many figures that can be used for reference for my stories moving forward, and that is awesome. And I will be back in my bed tonight for some good sleep, and that will also be awesome.
I spent two days at a toy convention. I did not sell as many of my toys as I wanted, and I bought more than I expected, but they were all toys I have an actual use for, so that is good. The good news is that my new job pays me enough to do this and have fun, so that is also good. I got a new piece of artwork that I will use as the cover for my next posted Transformers story, and I have reference models for my next Transformers stories. Life is good. I go home tomorrow and that will also be good. I love spending time with my fellow geeks. And I love going home to recover from the time I spent with my fellow geeks. Life is good.
