In a genre twist I never expected to see, Raconteur Press just released ANOTHER anthology filled with Moggie Noir. Alley Cat Alibi. I don’t have a cat in this fight, but a rising tide sends all the cats running. I mean raises all boats. I’m happy to boost the signal for these cool cats. If you like cats, if you like dames, or maybe a hint of catgirls, or maybe you just like mystery noir, I’m betting you can find something in this anthology that makes you want to sit down, curl your tail up, and enjoy a good read.

Pagers and Walkie Talkies

Oh my. The Israelis have been busy. First they kept locking onto terrorist phones and killing them so they ordered some backup pagers. This week the Israelis blew up those pagers. I’d hate to have to explain that wound to the 72 virgins waiting on the other side. Some of them carried their pagers in sensitive areas, doncha know? And then the next day, it seems while the terrorists were attending the funerals of their fellows with their new backup walkie talkies, THOSE started blowing up too. I love it when bad terrorists get turned into good terrorists. And I can’t wait to see what the Israeli’s do with the tin cups and string…

The Assassin Came Prepared

Trump survived another assassination attempt. But the assassin is a known actor. He’s been recruiting people to fight in the Ukraine. He has a felony conviction for owning a WMD without a tax stamp. As seems usual with shooters, he was on the FBI’s radar. Driving a stolen car ready to run away in. GoPro setup so he could take pictures of his score. But he flew from Hawaii to Florida. Who did he get the long gun from? Who removed the serial number? And he was there for twelve hours. Why didn’t anybody scout the perimeter? It was his close in security that saved the day here. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered.

And Another One Misses the Shot

So we had another assassination attempt on Trump. They couldn’t put him in jail with lawfare, they couldn’t kick him off the ballot, so now they try to take him out the old fashioned way. And unlike the 20 year old kid with no social media history and only encrypted communications, this nearly 60 year old has been telling people what he thinks for years on social media, in interviews, and other outlets. He appears to have recruited soldiers to fight in Ukraine, and wrote a book saying Iran had his permission to assassinate Trump. He has a Harris bumper sticker, and otherwise appears to be your standard Left Wing Democrat bomb thrower. And on the other side we have the secret service agent who walked forward to scan the next hole before Trump arrived. He saw the barrel of a long gun pointing through the fence, pulled out his handgun, and went rock and roll on the bad guy. It took some serious balls to do that. My hat’s off to that agent. He did good.

Here We Go Again

Here we go again with another assassination attempt. It seems the guy decided to camp out on the edge of the golf course at Mar-a-Lago, in some shrubbery, surrounded by some friends. Backpacks with ceramic armor. Some nice friends with barrels. One nice one with a scope that is really good for long range fun. And nobody stopped him. Nobody realized this guy was there, camped out for half a day, before a round of golf that was not on President Trump’s public itinerary. A member of his close in support team patrolled ahead of Trump to make sure the next hole was secure, and he noticed a barrel sticking out of the shrubbery. That’s how close we were to someone assassinating Trump. One eagle-eyed member of the secret service patrolling ahead of the group saw something that shouldn’t be there and went rock and roll on the bad guy. We’ve already had First Assassination. Now we’ve had Second Assassination. How many times makes it enemy action again?
