The Indians call it The Great Sea. We call it the Great Lake Superior in 1852. Mishipeshu guards it and does not appreciate the rising traffic of ships heading out to steal the copper from its domain. It has been sinking ships and the death toll is rising. Captain William Carter, hunter of otherworldly beings and threats to mankind, arrived in time to see “Mishipeshu Rising” to attack the steamboat Independence. His mission, to stop the killing by whatever means are necessary.

“Mishipeshu Rising” and many other find stories about deep sea beasts are available now in the “Tentacles and Tides” anthology by Opal Kingdom Press.
