The United States of America came out of the Second Great Depression a far different nation than it had been before. Decades of political warfare between Democrats and Republicans over who got to loot the treasury, with the same people winning and losing more often than not, had bankrupted the nation, and the 49 States who called the Convention of States were simply done with it all. One step they took during the Convention was to outlaw any national political party named after a form of government, and then they took specific measures to shut those two down hard. That didn’t end the age old disagreements of course. Politics continued under different names, but America was a different nation by then. Even politics had to bow to that change.
Title 9 has been the foremost authority on sex-based discrimination in education since Congress passed it over 50 years ago. It mandated no sex-based discrimination at all in any educational institution receiving federal funding, which resulted in the massive expansion of women’s sports and numerous other activities that had had been largely denied to them before. Last Friday, the Biden administration announced that they were going to redefine the sex-based discrimination Congress passed into the new terminology of gender-identity based discrimination. Do you want more men identifying as women in women’s locker rooms? Bathrooms? Sports? We have seen this thinking lead to that already. This will bring more of it.
I played Dice Throne with friends this weekend. It’s been a while, but we’ve been going through Dice Throne Adventures for a while and it is fun. I think we are not that good at it, but it is an awful lot of fun. Throwing dice, working together, and fighting minions and bosses as we go through the dungeon crawl. I absolutely love it. Well, any good chance I get to play games with friends is something I love, especially when we can get together and do it in person. There’s just nothing like it.
With all the reporting I did this week about who is on trial right now, I thought it might be a good idea to focus on who is NOT on trial now. Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was impeached by the House of Representatives for “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” and for “breach of public trust.” Mainly for refusing to follow immigration and border security laws on our borders, and “processing” nearly 10 million Illegal Aliens and sending them throughout the nation. Every Democrat Senator voted to dismiss the charges open receiving them. This is your daily reminder that when Democrats break the law, Democrats protect them. Especially when they support breaking the laws in question.
This week a man with no criminal record is facing prison time in New York State. Dexter Taylor is a gun hobbyist who bought gun parts via a credit card and assembled them in his property. He did not sell them. This is federally regulated and legal. The government traced his transactions, raided his home, and accused and eventually convicted him of criminal possession of firearms, firearm parts, and firearm ammunition. The judge would not allow his lawyers to bring up federal law saying it was legal or the Constitutional 2nd Amendment in their defense. He was convicted and is now being sent to Rikers Island and is facing 18 years in prison in New York State. While elsewhere a court ruled that an illegal alien DID have a right to own a firearm. I wonder why…
