Starships are meant to fly. It’s what they’re built for. To reach into the sky and carry us with them. We are their greatest cargo. Humanity. Our thoughts, our hopes, our dreams. I’ve known a lot of them over the years. They are amazing friends and terrible enemies. Make no mistake. We may build them, but they are as alive as anyone else, and without them we never would have won The War.
I love a good rain. It is pure joy to boost my holoform up to full solidform, walk out into the pouring rain, and let it soak me from head to toe. It reinforces the fact that we are all connected to the worlds we live in. Even a cybernetic lifeform can experience the most amazing parts of normalspace. I only wish that genetic lifeforms could experience cyberspace as well as we do normalspace.
The Second Continental Congress did many things during the Revolution. They declared Independence from the King of England, they formed the Continental Army that would beat the English, and they adopted an official flag for the new nation they were fighting for. Thirteen stars and thirteen stripes, red white and blue, the flag was designed to proclaim liberty and freedom for all. That is why we celebrate Flag Day.

For such a smart race, I’ve always wondered how they could have misjudged us so badly. All they had to do was study our history to know how we would react. Why didn’t they?
